Hi, Cuz, Re, your query: "Seek info on William R. FORREST, b. abt 1875 prob. in Vermont; m. Selina YOUNG. One known child, Joseph Raymond FORREST, b. 20 May 1899 in Middlebury, VT; m. Helen M. Mabel (my fam. grp. sheet, given to me by a cousin also researching the family, gives her name as "Mable"; not sure if this is a misspelling): 9 Dec 1888 - 3 Sep 1940; m. Dustin CYR, who d. 23 Dec 1953. 4. Thaddeus ("Uncle Thad"): 11 May 1890 - 4 June 1965; m. Helena ABAIR ("Aunt Lena"), who d 24 Nov 1959. 5. Arthur ("Uncle Art"): 6 Apr 1891 - 13 Sep 1964; m. James MARTIN, who d. 23 Sep 1973. She was much beloved by the whole family; I remember her well. 8. Joseph Raymond: (my birth info differs slightly from yours) 29 May 1899 - 22 Apr 1983; m. Helen McCAUSLAND, who d. 20 Mar 1933. Uncle Joe married 2nd, Loyola RILEY (my info calls her "Loloya", but I am fairly certain that this is a typo.) Hope this helps! And I do hope that you consider coming to the annual Forrest family reunion, held for the last 45 +/- years in the Middlebury, VT, area on the 1st Sunday in August. It was through this reunion that I was able to procure a copy of an old sepia-tone photo of William & Selena - what a treasure!! (There are many other old photos available for browsing at this event.) Please contact me privately if you are interested (anyone else of this branch of the Forrest family is also welcome to contact me; I will put you in contact with the organiser). Now - hope you can help me with something! William's grandfather was Francois-Thiriac LaFOREST, and his wife was Felicite CAMPBELL (abt 1775 - abt Oct 1823). Who were her parents? I have these individuals, but I believe that they are incorrect, due to the unlikely ages that they would be at the time of her birth: William Colan CAMPBELL (1731-1811) and Marie-Josephte CHARTIER (b 1729). They would have been 44 and 46 years of age, respectively; a rather unlikely occurrence, though of course, not totally impossible. Have you traced this branch of the family? Looking forward to hearing from you - Teri
