Mr. Jones,
You seem to have a lot of information about the Forrest family history, so I hope you can help me to clarify info I have received from my elder family members. I am in posession of a marriage liscense between William Counce Crawford (my great-great grandfather) and Susan Jane (Anna) Forrest. According to my information, Anna's father was named Doc Forrest, with a brother named Frank Forrest, who was a blacksmith by trade. Frank had two sons, Frank Forrest, Jr. and Nathan Forrest. Doc was a slave owner with 2000 acres of land who freed 880 slaves at the end of the war. One of Doc's children was a girl named Susan Jane (Anna) Forrest, who became my Great-Great Grandmother through one of her sons named Looney Crawford, who begat my Grandfather, James Denver Crawford. Any information you can provide would be very helpful and very much appreciated!
