Well, I've finally figured out what happened to Nancy Shepherd Baugh Forrest - apparently she remarried after Nathan Forrest died in 1827. I don't have a marriage date for the second marriage but the man's name was Cornelius Tyson. He is the Cornelius Forrest that showed up in the 1850 census. I guess the census taker wrote down the wrong last name - yes, they were living with Elisha, her son. The real credit has to be given to Marjorie Hood Fischer and ALL her research in her book Tennessee Tidbits 1778-1914 Vol. IV. Ms. Fischer found the court actions taken after a dispute over the subsequent sale and inheritence of property after Nathan's death. Check out pages 155 & 156. If you look at page 467, she discusses the lawsuit between Rhoda E Forrest and Cornelius Tyson. Nancy Shepherd Baugh Forrest Tyson died sometime between the 1850 census but before August 30, 1854. Good luck to all you fellow Forrest researchers. E
