Grant Forrest was born in Kingston, Vermont, probably in 1799 (the date on his gravestone is a bit difficult to read.) He died about Oct.31.1879, probably at Sault-au-Cochon (now called Forestville), Quebec, and is buried in the family plot in Mount Hermon Cemetery, Sillery QC. His family is of Irish ancestry.
Please contact me if you have knowledge of this family, or can tell me the best way to find further information on the family in Vermont.
Grant Forrest's son was Grant William Forrest (1830-1911). I do not know if there were other children, as I have not established his relationship to some others in the family plot. Grant William Forrest had 5 children, including Grant Essex Forrest (1872-1904) who is my grandfather.
