WATSONTOWN - Maxine Fornwalt, 83, a resident of Elm Street for many years, and for the past six weeks a resident of Kramm Healthcare Center, Watsontown, died Friday morning, June 4, 2004, at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.
She was born Oct. 21, 1920, in Watsontown, a daughter of the late John W. and Elizabeth (Breon) Raup. Her husband, Harold L. Fornwalt, died in 1980, after 41 years of marriage.
Mrs. Fornwalt retired in 1982 from Philco-Ford Corporation, Watsontown.
Earlier in life, she was an active member of First Lutheran Church, Watsontown, where she had been a Sunday school teacher and superintendent of the children's Sunday school.
Surviving are one son, Robert W. and his wife Loretta Raup of RR Muncy; three grandsons, Rodney, Timothy and Keith Raup; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jean and her husband Robert Wesner of McEwensville, and Nancy Reamer of Kohes, N.Y.; and one brother, Paul and his wife Betty Raup of Milton.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her husband, were two brothers, Donald and Victor; and one sister, Anna Mae Barto.
Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at the Cronrath Funeral Home Inc., 308 Main St., Watsontown, where the funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Dr. Paul Fitzgerald, pastor of Morland Baptist Church, Muncy, and her brother-in-law, Robert D. Wesner of McEwensville.
Burial will be in the Watsontown Cemetery.
