Good work, Cheryl! I believe I found at least one Forncrook (by that spelling) in the vicinity of Schenectady, so it sounds like a good place to look for the progenitors. The spellings you've found look more "authentic" to me as well -- more like Flemish or West Alemannic German. I've been snowed under with work and such of late, but promise to get back to the quest as soon as I can.
