I am in process of trying to find the Blackstone/Newmans graves. Some are buried in Grovetown Cemetery across from Baptist Church. The Blackstone/Newman cemetery was destroyed accidently when a new ball park was put in. I just completed cleaning up this cemetery and having the city put a fence around it. I am in prosess of making a sign to go here. Thomas William and Mary Blackstone Newman are buried here. They were the parents of Thomas Newman. Per a memo I saw at the Grovetown Museum Thomas who was the second child of Thomas William and Mary who was born in 1795 and Married Loisa Formby stated that a buriel stone was found in Grovetown . I have written a letter to Charles Lord at the museum to find out where it was found and whre I can go to see it. William B. Newman was Thomas and Mary's first born and this is who are family come from. Thomas William was a Revolutionary War Veteran and I have sent a letter to the City Hall and his name will be place on the Veterans Wall in June of this year. I hope you can attend and let your family know. I would love to see all the descendents of Mary and Thomas there but I don't know if Grovetown could hold them all. Visit Newmantown which is part of Grovetown Drive down Newmantown Road. This is where your ancentors lived and many still live there today. This is where all the Newmans come from. Thomas William Newman and Mary has 9 Children with William b and Thomas being the first and second born. Regards, Joyce Goodbread. Daughter of Elsie Newman Cliatt and Great Great Great Grandaughter of Thomas William and Mary Blackstone Newman.
