BIG TREE ROAD -- The San Andreas 'Independent' says that Mr. FORMAN, of the Fifteen Mile House, who, some 2 weeks ago crossed over from Stockton to Carson City via Big Trees, with 5 or 6 wagons heavily freighted, returned last Tuesday evening. He reports the roads yet in good condition, though a foot of snow is on the ground from Mud Springs to the summit. The weather is cold and very disagreeable in the night. His animals looked remarkably well for teams that had just twice crossed the Sierra Nevada.
