John Forman from NY & the Flail during Revolutionary War

I am researching the Forman family from New England (mostly NY, CT, and MA). If anyone has a family history of John Forman and his "flail with which to thrash the Tories", please respond! I would like to put together the family histories of anyone with that background and fill in the blanks!
