I too am researching all Foster, Forester, Forister, Foyster, Forrester and any other varience of the name. I have a lot of the census from in and around Habersham County, Georgia as I know 100% that my began at: William P. (Foster) Forrester, the son of William (Foster) Forrester, was born 1785 in Rutherford County, North Carolina. In 1791, Buncombe Co was formed from Rutherford Co., NC. In 1808, Haywood County was created from part of Buncombe County. The (Foster) Forresters then lived in the area of the newly formed county of Haywood. William P (Foster) Forrester was married to Barbara Garner. William and Barbara Garner (Foster) Forrester had several children. Only two of his children are known The Census below are only speculation as they did not list names in these cases but the numbers do come so close that I am listing them as a mere reference. They have not been confirmed. 1820 Census Habersham County, Georgia John (Forester) Forrester (head) 1 male 45 and up 1 female 26-45 1 male 16-26 1 female under 16 1840 Census Habersham County, Georgia John Forrester (head) age shown between 60-70 1 female age shown between 40-50 Living next to William Forrester 1850 Census District 17, Habersham County, Georgia John Forrister - age 84 (head-living alone next door to Willam Forrister) b: abt 1766 Virginia I would love to exchange info.
