If my records are correct this William Forgey, born May 1851 in Illinois, is the son of Amos Forgey, b. Jan 7, 1823 in Indiana, and Elizabeth Lanning, born about 1832, possibly in Illinois. They were married March 18, 1849. Amos was the fourth child of Andrew Forgey born Dec. 120, 1794 in Hawkins, Tennessee, died April 3, 1879 in Scott Co., Iowa. Buried Friday Cemetery, Davenport, Iowa. Andrew married Anna Roller on October 15, 1816. Anna born February 12, 1799, Lee Co., Va., died march 24, 1844, Jackson Co., In. At his point there is a lot of speculation about the father of Andrew, but no prositive proof of father. Hope this helps. Dick
