Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

Now you have found one. I am a descendant of John and Cynthia Lucinda Forgay/Farjany/Forgy Barrentine. Their daughter, Mary Malvina married my great grandfather, John Henry Stone. I know that James Henry "Papy" Barrentine was born Feb. 25, 1859 and died Feb. 2, 1930. He is buried in Poplar Springs Bapt. Church Cem. in Montgomery Co., MS.
Their are daughters Nancy J. and Polly Ann which I have no info on. Son, Wm. Thomas was born Feb. 14, 1848 and died May 25, 1927. He married first Martha A. Overstreet, second Mary E. Harrell [a cousin] (both marriages in Carroll Co., MS)
Another duaghter, Sarah A.R. I believe married James Palmertree.
John and Cynthia are on the 1880 MS. Census in Carroll Co., MS. I am trying to find info on Cynthia's line. Both are supposed to have been born in NC according to the census.
Look forward to hearing from you.
