Hi Sarah,
I have access to three books on the Forresters, one of which deals almost exclusively with the Foresters of Wilkes County, NC and surrounding area and their migration to other states. Nothing I have found goes further back than John Forester and Sarah Cooper though. I am familiar with Corstorphine Church where Sir Adam Forrester is buried in Scotland. Also the old Forrester castle which is currently under restoration, Torwood Castle. However I've not been able to trace our line back to these Forresters. My father has stated that he was told that John who married Sarah Cooper came from Edinburgh which would put him around the same area as Torwood and Corstorphine but I've never seen any documentation to prove this. I'd love to share what information we have. Ike
