My great-grandmother was a Forester (Lucille Love Forester (Sasaki)), so I'm lucky to be sitting here with my Forester family history right in front of me. This is what we know of Francis Forester:

Francis Forester was born in 1763 in the Virginia Colony. He married a Chickahominy maiden in approx. 1786 in the VC. We don't know the wife's name, but we do know she was of the Powhatan Confederacy of the Algonquin Tribes and was born in approx. 1773 in the VC. They moved to North Carolina when it was being settled in approx. 1789. Later crossed into and helped settle Tennessee, then in about 1839, they moved to newly opened Indian land in northwest Georgia in Johnson Crook at the foot of Lookout Mountain near Rising Fawn, GA. Their sons, Havalow and Thomas Calendar also moved to GA. Francis passed away in 1856 in Rising Fawn, GA, and is buried in Miller Cemetery in Rising Fawn. There were several children born of this marriage including:
Robert Forester: b. April 25th, 1787 in VC. d. February 9th, 1806 in Tennessee.
Elizabeth Forester: Listed as having lived in Lumpkin County, GA, in 1850.
Havalow Forester: b 1793 in VC. d. 1862 in Rising Fawn, GA. Buried in Miller-Forester Cemetery. Married Nancy Cartwright.
Thomas Calendar Forester: b. 1795(?) in VC. Lived in Warren County, TN, in 1830 and Dade County, GA, in 1850. Buried in Walker Cemetery near Cedar County, GA.
Eli Oscar Forester (Who is MY direct ancestor): b. 1800 in Rising Fawn, GA. He married Polly Jordan in 1825 in Chattanooga, TN. He died in 1845 in Fayetteville, Lincoln County, TN, murdered by his slaves.
Joseph Forester: b. 1805 in TN. Married Rhoda Mercer on April 30th, 1829 in Mohlenberg County, KY. d. 1857 in TN.
James Forester: b. 1818(?). Married Virginia Layton on March 16th, 1853. d. 1882. He was the town trustee of Ozark, MO, and lived in Lumpkin County, GA, in 1850.
Alexander Forester: b. 1821 in TN. Married Minerva Eaton on May 2nd, 1843.
John Forester: b. February 29th, 1824 in Lincoln County, TN. Married Nancy Mansfield (b. Oct. 31st, 1827 d. Nov. 11th, 1888) on June 10th, 1864 in Lincoln County. d. September 14th, 1888, in Buck Prairie, Lawrence County, MO.
