Hello Neil,
I don't see a direct tie but they may tie in later or as distant cousins. The information I have is from a letter written to my uncle from one of his sisters. He had joined the Mormon church and started searching for the family history in the last of the 1970's. He died about 1983 and my mother inherited many of his papers.

Whenever William Forester needed money, he sent to Ireland. Once his house burned in Somerset, Texas. They spent the winter with neighbors and in the spring he was sent the money to build a new house.
In the 1920's ? grandmother was contacted by alawyer ( I think he was from where she lived in Del Rio, Texas) and told that if she would accompany him to England she would get a much larger portion of her inheritance. It was something about English law not allowing things to go out of the country. Grandfather did not want her to go, so she didn't. Her sisters did and they recieved a large inheritance( acording to mom). Grandmother recieved some money which she used to floor their house, buy clothes for everyone and buy an Encyclopedia Britanica. There were also a number of gold watches which she later gave to Uncle Andrew because she had named him Andrew Hamilton. The watches were later stolen from him. Part of her sister's inheritance was a ring with the family crest to seal letters. ( this from mom).
Does any of this relate to anyone you have heard of? They are Foresters but the names are common. We had always thought the Hamiltons were related to roalty but not sure just how.
Sincerely
Rebecca Hines
