Yes I did research the de Forest from Northen France.
Isaac de Forest is the one De Forest at the origins of the de Forest co-founders of New York. According to our last Y DNA testing we are are not closely related to this group.
One more comments about Michel (de) Forest of Acadia. Like I told you, he is mentioned on the fisrt census of Port-Royal in 1671 being 33 years old with his wife (20 yr) and 3 kids (Michel 4 yr, Pierre 2.5 yr and René 1yr). He was married to Marie Hébert c 1666 in Port-Royal. I should then think that he possibly arrived in Acadia before 1666 and 1650.
You are right, now I will concentrate on genetics since we are at a dead end with the papers. DF
