Dear Jim,
Yes, my gg grandfather was James M. Forehand, age 60 in the 1850 Holmes Co. Fl census. James wife was Johana (Coates) Fulwood. Her first husband died in Loudes co. Ga and she married James. Johana was 32 in 1850. James was older than Johana and for this reason, I believe Johana was his second wife, also. Rare Census records lists James in Jackson Co. Fl as early as 1838 and James states that he was born in SC.

I have no furthe records on James and have been unable to locate him when he traveled thru Georgia from SC.

Do you know the parents of James M. Forehand b. 1790 SC?
If so would you please just drop me a hint or clue as to where to get this info. Are you descended from James and Johana who were the parents of my great grandfather William M. Forehand. This line has really been difficult to trace. I have a large database, however, it stops with James..

Myself, my mother, my grandmother, my g grandfather was all born in Jackson Co. Fl.

I grew up in middle Georgia area, my fathers birthplace..

Thanking you in advance for your help.

Myrna Jackson Findlay
