Could this be the baptism of your Charles?
In the Parish Registers of Kilbrogan Church, Bandon, Co. Cork, seen at the Representative Church Body Library in Dublin on 11 September 2003, I found this entry amongst the baptisms:
1844 July 10 Charles son of George and Mary Forde North Main Street private (means baptised at home)
Or is it too early? he's the only one I have.
