Am collecting information on Forde/Ford families of Co. Leitrim, IR, specifically, but also will collect information from other Irish counties to match families. My particular family, father Patrick, sons George and Michael emigrated from the area around Drumshanbo, Co. Leitrim and they were found in a Liverpool, England census in 1881. No idea of Patrick's wife's name. Family dropped the E on the Forde, became Ford in Liverpool. Michael married Sarah George of Liverpool. Some of their children stayed in England (London and Tunbridge Wells), most immigrated to the United States, to Milwaukie, OR area via Canada. Would also like to hear from anyone who has information on ships leaving Ireland for Liverpool around 1870-1880 time period. Thank you!
