Virginia-
My great-grandmother was Mary Margaret Forde...her husband was John Forde. Both were allegedly from Loughrea, Co. Galway where the family owned a green grocer/butcher shop. It's interesting that my father had a sister, Winifred, who died in infancy in the early 1900's (don't know the exact date...so the name is in my family.
Do you have any more information about siblings. There may be a connection
