I am looking for any information on Alexander Ford who married Lydia Ann Hunt in Ray County Missouri in 1835. Alexander died at least by December 1838, as Lydia remarried at that time.
They had one child, Mary Elizabeth Ford, who was born in 1837 in Missouri (family sources say Vernon County, but I don't think Vernon county existed by that name in 1837-so I am not sure of her birthplace.) According to her census answers, she always said her father was born in Tennessee -and as her step-father was born in Kentucky, we think she was referring to Alexander.
If you have any information that might connect up with Alexander, his parents or where he was born, I would be very grateful. Any information on Fords that came from Tennessee and moved to Missouri in the early 1800's would also be appreciated.
