The father of Samuel Charles Thomas Ford was Samuel Ford born 1774 Patato Neck, Somerset County, Maryland. He was a Methodest Minister. He is my Wife's ancestor as she is descended from Juritha Jane Curlin b 9 Dec 1823 TN d. 1868/1869 Marshall, Harrison County, Texas in a Yellow Fever epidemic in which many of the other family members died.
We visited Rev. Samuel Ford's home in Maryland when we lived in Virginia in 1968. He was a Methodist Minister and is buried just across a road from the house on the Perry White property and still has a good stone. I took pictures of his stone and the house. The house is still in use as well as the Methodist Church which is nearby. His wife's name was Harris White the daughter of Adminal Thomas White and Mary Harris. We did not find her stone there but it was getting late and we didn't have much time to look.
Rev Samuel Ford was the son of Capt. Charles Ford b. abt 1736 Devonshire, England. He was a Sea Captian and is buried at St. Pauls Church Cemetery in Baltimore. We also visited there in 1968 looking for his grave whith no luck. There were evidence of many graves in which the stone are no longer there. There is a Historical Marker where the Church once stood. Took pictures of the Marker and Cemetery. We do not know his wife's name.
That's about all I have. Would enjoy hearing from you.
By the way, the Admiral was probably a honorary title for Thomas White. He owned a large fleet to Oyster Boats on the Chesapeake Bay. You may note that Samuel Charles Thomas Ford was named for his two Grandfathers Capt Charles Ford and Adm. Thomas White as well as his own father who was Samuel.
