Dear George,
Hello.Bellinda MYRICK-BARNETT here.I just received notification of your post.
I am so happy to hear from you.(I am copying and pasting my original post you responded to and your response immediately below my post here, for easier referral.)
I am so hopeful of being able to find out more information on my FORD family and anything that you have would be of great help.It certainly looks like it would be strongly possible that this FORD family is descended from the FORD/FOORD/FOREE/FAURE French Huguenot family that immigrated to Manakintown during the same time period as the CALVIT/CALVET/CALVER(T) family of Manakintown that came from France into England and then into Manakintown, Virginia, near Jamestown, in the 1690s, I believe. It is Antoine/Anthony CALVIT and Mrs. Mary DEAN CALVIT HIGDON, (Daniel HIGDON being her 2nd husband,) that are believed to have been the parents of our Elizabeth CALVIT who married John D.? FORD and were parents of Henry FORDDo you think that it is this Henry FORD whom you show as Henry H. FORD?
Elizabeth CALVIT
b: Abt. 1760 prob. in Washington, Adams Co., MS
d: ? in ?
md:1784 in Natchez, Adams Co., MS
md:John D.? FORD, Sr.
b:1766 in Virginia
d:Sept. 11, 1844 in Franklin Co., MS
buried:Sweet Home Church Cemetery,
Franklin Co., MS
But I have no more information on the parents nor siblings of John D.? FORD and think it is possible that he is, as was Elizabeth CALVIT's family, of French Huguenot descent from the FAURE/FOREE/FOORD/FORD family out of Manakintown but, so far, that is just speculation.
I show that Anna Jane HERRINGTON, born:January 21, 1825 in Franklin County, Mississippi, died:January 04, 1892 in White Apple, Franklin? County, Mississippi, md: October 31, 1849 in Franklin County, Mississippi, was the daughter of Penelope MAGEE, born:September 04, 1776 in North Carolina, died: ? in ?, md: December 11, 1823 in Franklin County, Mississippi, and husband, John Bunyan HARRINGTON, born:October 06, 1794 in North Carolina, but I find no information yet on his parents.Penelope MAGEE was the daughter of Osha/Asha SCOTT, born:Aft. 1764 in Virginia, died: ? in ?, (daughter of Joseph SCOTT,) and Osha/Asha SCOTT md: Willis MAGEE, born:1764 in North Carolina, died:August 1829 in ?, who was the son of Ann MOORE and William MAGEE, but no more information on them.
My HERRINGTON/HARRINGTON family group is out of Craven/New Hanover County, North Carolina when it was Craven before 1755 with the birth of my 4th great grandfather, William HERRINGTON/HARRINGTON, Sr., from whom I descend through 2 of his sons, Enoch, and William, Jr..There is another HERRINGTON/HARRINGTON family group that is somehow connected but through another branch, probably from a brother of cousin of this William HERRINGTON/HARRINGTON, Sr. that is the same HARRINGTON/HERRINGTON family group, I believe, that married into the family of Daniel HIGDON and wife, Mrs. Mary DEAN CALVIT HIGDON.
Mary DEAN and Antoine/Anthony CALVIT are believed to have had several daughters in addition to the named known children but much information is missing. It is thought, most likely, that our Elizabeth CALVIT is one of their daughters. Her age puts her where she could have been a granddaughter but still have her linked as their daughter until something new prevails.I think that there may be some other sons, as well, but not sure.
Mary DEAN and Antoine/Anthony CALVIT were parents of:

From your post:
<<
I am a descendant of William Duncan Ford who married Anna Jane Herrington (her second marriage). William Duncan was born in 1823 and died in Tensas Parish, La in 1859. One of his bondsman when he married Anna Jane Herrington Fallon, was Henry H. Ford.
There is no hint of who was William Duncan Ford's father, but he does name one of his Absolom Ford.
Would be interested in hearing from you.

From my GENFORUM post that you responded to:
<<
Dear Linda,
Hello.
My name is Belllinda Myrick-Barnett and your William Duncan FORD was the brother of my maternal 3rd great grandmother, Elizabeth Ann FORD, born: 1821 probably in Franklin County, Mississippi, who was the daughter of Mary BUCKLES, born: 1797 in Natchez, Adams County, Mississippi, died: Abt. 1821 in Mississippi, possibly during/immediately after childbirth with daughter, Elizabeth Ann, and Mary's husband, Henry FORD, born: Abt. 1790 in Natchez District or Natchez, Adams County, Mississippi, (not sure which year it became Adams County,) died: 1851 in Mississippi, who was the son of Elizabeth CALVIT/CALVET and John FORD. Elizabeth CALVIT/CALVET was born Abt. 1760 probably in Washington, Adams County, Mississippi, married in 1784 in Natchez, Adams County, Mississippi, to John FORD and Elizabeth is believed to have been the daughter of Antoine/Anthony CALVIT/CALVET, born: 1694 in France, died: Bef. November 03, 1760 in Craven County, North Carolina, and his wife, Mary DEAN, (d/o William DEAN,) born: 1722 in Pennsylvania, died: Bef. February 09, 1807 in Washington, Adams County, Mississippi, who married 2nd husband, Daniel HIGDON.
(Also show that Ann Jane HERRINGTON's 1st husband's name as Oldham instead of Olaham...could be spelling error for me.)
I think that it is entirely possible that Mary's father, William DEAN, might have somehow been connected with Mary BUCKLES' father's family of BUCKHOLTS/BUCKHOLDTS that immigrated into Pennsylvania in the 1720s. Mary's parents were Mahala MIDDLETON, (1st wife,) and Abram BUCKLES, aka Abraham BUCKHOLTS, Jr., son of Abraham BUCKHOLTS, Sr., (have more info on their family group,) and Abram BUCKLES later married 2nd wife, Nancy KILLIAN, widow of Abram/Abraham GALTNEY.
The FORD/CALVIT/BUCKLES family had more marriages into each other's families plus the HIGDON and HERRINGTON/HARRINGTON families.
Antoine/Anthony CALVIT/CALVET died in 1760 in Craven County, North Carolina where my paternal 4th great grandfather, William HERRINGTON, Sr. was born in approximately the same time frame before 1755 and he later went in the Orangeburg District/later became Barnwell County and Winton County in South Carolina before taking his family into Mississippi first in Perry County. William HERRINGTON, Sr.'s wife is believed to have been Jane ? but don't, as of yet, know her surname. They were the parents of 2 of my 3rd great grandfathers, William HERRINGTON, Jr. who married Cynthia "Sina" GRANTHAM, and he was born abt. 1790, and his brother, Enoch HERRINGTON, born: abt. 1800, both born in New Hanover County, North Carolina, previously Craven County, who married Harriet STUCKEY. William, Jr. and Enoch had other siblings named: Henry, Samuel S./Silas? "Sy," Moses, Isaac, John A., Jared, and a (Daughter) HERRINGTON whose 1st name we don't know but she was born in abt. 1788 and married a John McDONALD. Isaac HERRINGTON married Nancy Walker BLACKWELL. John A. HERRINGTON married Sarah J. MATHIS and they had a daughter named Mary Ann HERRINGTON who was born February 03, 1829. Don't know if there might be a connection here or not to your Ann HERRINGTON.
I know that in the HIGDON descendants of Mrs. Mary DEAN CALVIT/CALVET HIGDON and 2nd husband, Daniel HIGDON, there was a marriage into a HERRINGTON/HARRINGTON family and then Jeptha HIGDON, born: prob. abt. 1806, married Nanc(e)y FORD, born: 1806 in MS, married: March 22, 1833 in Franklin County, Mississippi, who was the sister of Henry FORD who married Elizabeth CALVIT/CALVET.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Bellinda Myrick-Barnett>>
