The Forbush name has at least two known orgins.

1) Daniel Forbes came to the Massechusettes Bay Colony about 1654. A large number of his decendents aquired the name Forbush.

2) James Forbush born in Scotland in 1657 came to North Carolina after being exiled in Barbados.
