I have just started researching my GG Grandmothers family. Her name was Izorah Henrietta Forbus. Her father was William (Billy) Forbus and her mother was Ann Peaster. She was born 8 Dec. 1849 in Holmes County Mississippi. She married John Louis Harthcock in 1870. He fought in the Civil war. They moved to Texas after the war and settled near Mexia, Texas where I was born. I have found a picture of Izorah and her stepmother taken in the early 1900's. I have not found her dad anywhere. Does any of this sound familar? The Harthcocks live in around Yazoo City, Mississippi. I am trying to find Izorah's siblings and her mothers family the Peasters.
