Terry
In reference to Col. John Forbis. I believe that you are referring to Captain John Forbis of the Rev. War and the battle of Guilford Court House. This family, I believe is related to our line but as of how I have no proof.
Manny folks have him as the son of William and Margaret Forbis. They did have a son named George Forbis, but in Williams will, his George was not of age at his father death. The will said that he was to live with his brother until he was of age. William, Margaret and son William Jr.came to this country in 1679 on the ship Unity, many Folks have this as William birth year. Captain John Forbis
was a son of William and Margaret Forbis.
William died in 1763 and George Forbis in 1768.
Pat
