Wow! Thank you Mike for this information! You have really helped me fill in a lot of missing information. Ediom Forbes was my paternal grandfather. We have his name as Edwin. His father Ephriam Grover Robinson Forbes' name as shown in our records is Ephriam Gofrey Robinson Forbes. Do you know if Sidney's father, William Forbes, Sr. was Sheriff of Greenville County S.C.? That is what family records show but I can't confirm it. Have written to the Greenville, S.C. Sheriff's Dept for clariffication. They responded that they will check their old records and let me know.
