I am trying to find the birth family of my father purely to register the correct information in our family tree. He was born in July of 1920, and as far as I know in Oregon. His birth name was Eldon William Forbes. He did know that his birth parents attempted to keep him, but were unable to care for him properly and put him up for adoption when he was already several months old. He was adopted close to his first birthday in Portland, Multnomah County, OR. My father has been deceased for nearly thirty years, so I can't ask him any further questions nor can he obviously persue his own heritage.
