You may have a cousin here. I am descended from Elias FORBES of New Haven, CT and Egremont, MA (4gr-grandfather) who had a son William (sister to my 3gr-grandmother Hannah FORBES). According to information that I have, William married Sophia CARPENTER. Elias' wife, Hannah GORHAM died 17 May 1828 in Green (Chenango) NY. I have more. e-mail me
