FRANK REESE OWEN, a beloved citizen of Ringgold County, passed away at his home near Beaconsfield, Iowa, on April 22, l925, after an illness of several months.
He was born June 22, l852, at Syracuse, New York. Five years later he moved with his parents, MR. and MRS. OWEN E. OWEN, to Iowa, where he has lived all his life with the exception of a few years in Missouri.
In l875 he was married to CHRISTIE FORBES. To them were born six children: ELIZABETH BOYLAND, of Aurora, Neb.; ORVILLE, who died at the age of three years; MAY LANGDON, of Puente, California; MARTHA and ANNA, of Des Moines, and JAMES, of Fort Benning, Georgia.
Those who remain to mourn his death, are his wife, five children, six grandchildren. RICHARD and ROBERT OWEN, ALICE, HERBERT, GORDON and ARTHUR JOHN LANGDON; his only sister, MRS. M.E. FORBES, of Woonsocket, South Dakota, and many near and dear relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Geo. W. Hall at the Beaconsfield Church, Sunday afternoon, and the body was laid to rest in Rose Hill Cemetery at Mt. Ayr.
