I am researching a line of Jacob Forbes who emigrated from Scotland. The are located in the same area of NY during the 1700's. One I do not know the birthdate of died in 1755. He had a son Jacob born in 1749. This Jacob Forbes had a son that I know of named Nicholas who was born in Montgomery Co. NY.

I would be interested in any additional information you have as the timing and locations are close enough to suspect some type of relationship.
