I am trying to find information on the following Forbes line. The information I have is from a Genealogy chart my Grandfather did approx. 1910. I have found no additional supporting info. Your help is appreciated.
Jacob Forbes - Emigrated from Scotland approx. 1680. Served in the Kings Army in early Colonial Days.
Jacob Forbes (son of above) - Poisoned by Indians compelling him to eat a poisoned wildcat while a soldier in the Kings Army. Died 1755
Jacob Forbes (son of above) - Born 1749. Died 1840. Was a soldier of the Revolution. When a boy of 12 he killed an Indian who was lying in ambush at a spring where they went for water.
Nicholas Forbes (son of above) - Born 1793. Children follow:
Elizabeth (b. 1816) Married Peter Snyder of Clocksville NY (Oneida Co). (My line)
Catherine (b. 1815) Married Harrison Snyder - brother of Peter above.
Lanie Forbes (b. 1814) Married George Stokes.
All information on the above would be greatly appreciated.
