Looking for information on family of Jacob Thaddius Forbes, b 1817, Madison County, New York. Married Martha Pettit. Moved to Canada then to La Porte County Indiana. Children were Hamilton W, b. 1843, Thaddius H., b. 1851, Andrew Jackson b. 1864, Hulda, and Matilda.
Hamilton married Helen Shinabarger. Children Luella b. 1875 and Ross, b. 1869.
I am trying to connect my great grandmother, Rosella Forbes, b. 1853 in New York, to this family. Rosella married Thomas Shinabarger.
Any connection to your Forbes? I'm up against a brick wall. I am sure Rosella is part of this Forbes family, but have been unable to make the connection. She may have been a sister or cousin to Hamilton.
