I'm trying to trace my grandfather's family in the Crawfordville, FL area. My grandfather, Frank Carlton Forbes was born on August 12, 1895 in Crawfordville, FL. He died on October 18, 1926 (at age 31) in Fredericksburg, VA. He lived in Richmond, VA prior to his death. I am trying to find more information about his parents, which I believe are: Henry Forbes and Lydia Black, also possibly from the Crawfordville, FL area.

I have tried to obtain a copy of his birth certificate and was told that information was unavailable to me.
