I have another George Forbes, this one from Forbe's Point, Shelburne Co, NS. George m. Susan VanAmburg, and his dtr. is my GGgrandmother. He was s. of Alexander Forbes, b. abt 1755 in ROC - my gateway ancestor, who left Scotland and joined the Revolution in the 38th Foot in NY, and came to Port Roseway late 1783.
I am researching Alexander, looking to verify birth family. I have no knowledge of any connection to any other Forbes in Canada. He married Phebe DENNIS, a soldier's orphan in 1790.
