I am looking for ancestors and descendents of the Forbes family who were silversmiths in NYC in the 1700-1800's. William Forbes was a widower who came from Scotland--don't know anything about his Scottish roots- and married a Maria Paulding on April 29, 1713. I have some information about their silversmithing. I have no information past the marriage of Isabelle McLeod Forbes to my ggrandfather, James Green Stacy, in Rahway, NJ, February 07, 1866. Any information would be appreciated.
