Jeanette - I was looking for Adam Forbes and came across your message. Don't know if there is a connection but came across this item which was originally published by the Ontario Historical Society.

From the 1793 to 1832 Lutheran Church Record of County of Lennox, there were two entries for the children of Adam Forbes.

~ Matheus Forbes of Adam Forbes and Anna - July 14 1810 / ux. Ludwig Frolick
~ Martin Warner Forbes of Adam Forbes and Anna Dust - May 19, 1812

From Papers and Records / Volume 6, Published in Toronto in 1905 / Pages 136-167.
Lutheran Church in the County of Lennox, which is still in a good state of preservation. Many of the U E Loyalist Pioneers, of Dutch and German descent, were members of the Evangelical Lutheran Church while yet residents of New Jersey and New York States. There appear to have been large settlements of them in Marysburgh, Prince Edward County; Fredericksburgh, Camden, and Richmond, Lennox and Addington County; and Williamsburgh, Dundas County. It is claimed that probably the first protestant church erected in eastern Upper Canada was a Lutheran church, in Williamsburgh, known as 'Zion Church'

Hope this helps - Patricia
