Hello. Do you have any more details on John Forbes, or know who his parents and grandparents were? I have a Philo Forbes who married Nancy Johnson. They started out in CT, and later moved to Sullivanm Co., NY (around 1810), and by 1820 they were in Ft. Ann, Washington Co., NY. After 1820 they were in Ontario, Wayne Co., NY. Their children were Philo, George, Michale, Merrill, Zerviah, Polly and another daughter. Also--Philo, Sr., had a brother named Elisha who married a Griswold and lived in Washington Co., NY. They had 4 sons (one of whom was named John A.) and a daughter. Also--Philo, Sr., and Elisha had a brother named John (b. 1797) who married Angeline Patrick. They lived in Essex Co., NY, and had Wm. & Jane. The boys had one other brother named Albert Gallatin Forbes (b. 1802) who married Hannah Finch. They lived in Clinton & Essex Co., NY. They had 6 daughters and sons Albert, Jr., & Henry. Does any of this look familiar? Let me know.
