I found a posting at familyhistory.com/messages/ that might interest you. A group in Ireland is looking for Forhans in the Benton Harbor area of Michigan who are relatives of Daniel and Margaret (Foran or Forhan) Ryal, who sailed to Quebec in April, 1847, on the "Jeanie Johnston" a famous Irish emigrant barque that they are rebuilding in County Kerry. They will be sailing this ship to American in April 2000, visiting 23 US and Canadian cities. Looking for descendants to celebrate with. I hope you are related; it would be a fun event to attend!
