There were six Foran families in Miltown Malbay in 1831. My grandmother was Ellen Foran from Rineen, Miltown Malbay, Co. Clare. She had 4 brothers and 5 sisters. I know that at least one of her brothers, Michael, emigrated to the USA. Her parents were Thomas Foran and Anne Casey, Thomas being born sometime between 1855-1860. All the Forans in Rineen in the mid 1800s appeared to have been related - I have more information if you require it.
