Have only discovered this website today!

Have Ellen Patterson b. Perthshire, Scotla
nd 1800, died 17 March 1835 (? Merigomish NS)- did she and her parents come from Dundee/Coupar Angus area in Scotland?

George Foote emigrated to Pictou, NS in 1818 - did Ellen Patterson accompany him?

Extensive tree of (some)ancestors of George Foote, and mainly extensive North American descendants done by husband and wife in Brentford, Ontario - John Latham - but I can't find my notes of his email address. Have contacted him twice but no replies. I am descended from William Foote who had an extensive family each with extensive families of their own, mainly involved with growth of jute industry and sales of canvas bags to Crimea War and American Civil War.

Became interested in a new family name for me - 'Foote' on discovering that my mother, Georgina Mathieson King was actually named after her uncle George Brown Foote Mathieson, who was killed on the Somme in 1918, two weeks before she was born.

George Foote one of 8 childred of David Foot and Margaret Blair, married Kinfauns, Perthshire 24 January 1791.

George Foote was twin of William, both baptised 9 January 1798 to west of Dundee, now in the county of Angus.

Hope this helps. Use Mormon Scottish Parish Records to find more information on David Foot and his family.

Good luck

JD
