Z. Foote was born Jan. 6th, 1822 at Hamilton, N.Y., and came to Arcade, Wyoming Co., NY from Java, Wyoming Co., NY. He is proprietor of the United States Hotel, which stands on the ground occupied by the pioneer log tavern of the town. He kept a hotel at Java Lake three years. June 6th, 1855, he married ANN ELIZA KINGSMAN, of Java, Wyoming Co., NY.
