Josiah's parents: NATHANIEL FOOTE, b. Jan. 10, 1647; m. May 2, 1672, Margaret Bliss, dau. of Thomas and Margaret (Lawrence) Bliss, of Springfield, Mass.; res., Hatfield, Springfield and d. at Wethersfield, Jan. 12, 1703. She d. in Colchester, Ct., Apr. 3, 1745. (Page 29)

Nathaniel's parents: NATHANIEL FOOTE, b. abt. 1620; m. 1647, Elizabeth, dau. of Lieut. Samuel Smith; res., Wethersfield, Ct., and Hadley, Mass. He d. 1655. She m. 2nd, William Gull, Wethersfield, and Hatfield, Mass. She had four children, Mary, Anna, Esther, Marcy. (Page 27)
