I am going to write down what my aunt wrote and said...
If What I send does not make any sense, let me know but I will do my best.
William Richard McCallister (Possibly Richard William). It was common practice in those days to switch the first and middle names around for next generation so when she talked to grandma Ruby (my grandma) about it. She was not sure Which it was. He was married 3 times
His first wife was named Amanda Foose. Don't know the second wifes but this third wife and not any with the second or third. There is some confusion as to wether it is William Richard McCallister or His father that killed a man in Ohio and moved his family to West Virginia to escape. So the genealogy information for either of these two could be in Ohio or West Virginia.
Narnin McCallister - ?
Gertrude McCallister - b. About 1880's?
Samuel Howard McCallister born in West Virginia -?
My aunt has a copy of his marriage certificate married in putnam county around Charleston, West Virginia.
(Can tell you for sure when we locate the box of papers)
He married Dovie Corelda Meadows.
Their children in order of birth are:
Julie Francis McCallister b. about 1912
Leonard McCallister died at 11 or 12 yrs old
William Richard (our grandpa) born 12-20-1918 married Ruby Salyers.
Lida McCallister- Don't know married name ...
Letha McCallister b. ? and married Markham --The only one still is living.
Dorothy McCallister - married name - Scraberry
Lucy McCallister- Don't know married name
Aaron Caleb McCallister
Not easy to find .. they were going from Putman County, West Virginia to where ...
I found William Richard McCallister b. May 24, 1861 d. unknown and Amanda Foose b. June 1, 1865 d. April 6,1918. I don't know where William Richard McCallister was going after Amanda Foose died and buried in Paul Cemetery. This is below: I hope this is right one.
