Might you know of John Jenkins was the same fella living in Beekman, Dutchess Co, NY in the late 1770's/1780's? As he was cited by Henry Beekman, that John Jenkins was related to Arnold Reynolds. My Arnold, this Arnold, was born 1740-41 in N. Kingstown, RI, to Francis Reynolds and Elizabeth Fones. Curious names of Fones and Jenkins you mentioned..why I am inquiring. I haven't found the connection yet btw John Jenkins and Arnold, per Henry Beekman's note. Thoughts?
