Jason, here is some of the info I have on the Fones(Foens).Peter Foens was from Prussia not sure if that is what is now Russia. His son, John A.Foens was B: 11/17/1818in Flavanah County Virginia. He died on 6/17/1893 in Cutler, Perry Co. Illinois. He married Lydia Lively on 11/10/1840. Lydia was B:2/25/1812 in St. Clair Co. Il. D:2/15/1855 in Cutler, Perry Co. Il. Your G-G-Grandpa John R. Fones was B: 8/9/1847in Cutler, Perry Co. Il. He died: 1/17/1904 in Randolph Co. Il. He married: Elizabeth Henrietta Voderbrugge on 2/8/1894 in Pinckneyville, Perry Co. Il. Their son: Albert George Fones --your G-Grandfather, was B: 3/16/ 1888 in Cutler, Perry Co. Il. D: 7/23/1970 in Pinckneyville, Perry Co. Il. He married: Opal Maude Taylor on 12/26/1913. She was B: on 12/20/1895 in Princeton, Ind. She D: 2/13/1967. They had 15 children born to them , 3 were stillborn. Your grandpa Frederick Daniel was B:12/15/ 1929. D: 1958. 2 of your grandpa's sisters are still alive, my mom & a sister in Alabama. 3 of his brothers are still alive. If you want to know more e-mail me. I also have a copy of your G-G-Grandpa's marriage license if you would like a copy. I also have a typewritten story about The Lively Massacre by Indians in 1813 in Southern Illinois.
