Are you saying that the [Captain] John FONES, b. say 1635 and died 20 Dec 1703 Kingston?, RI, whose wife was Margaret (_____), was the son of Thomas Fownes and his second wife, Joane Heale, son of Richard, who was the uncle of Thomas Fownes who married Anne Winthrop? If so, how did you know which John was which? I am very definitely confused with this family!
