The only information I have on John and Abigail Fonda are as follows:
1850 Batavia, Genesee Cty, NY Census:
John Fonda, Farmer, age 65 born in NY
Abigail Fonda, age 59 born in NY
Cathryn J. Fonda, age 23
Christina Fonda, age 27

It is possible that John and Abigail are parents of Burton P. Fonda as mentioned in my first query. I believe that the wife of Burton P. Fonda (Lydia) is a sister of my 3GGrandfather Oliver Lincoln due to the fact that "Aunt Lydia Ann Fonda" is mentioned in an old letter written by Oliver to his children. The letter also mentions Lydia's daughter Phebe who is also on this census with Burton & Lydia.
