Suzanne, I just found your message. Ten Eyck Fonda, the son of Garrett, went from Illinois to Nebraska c1878 to work on the railroad. His wife was Harriet McNeil (you probably already know that). They had 6 kids: Mabel, Ten Eyck, Douw, William Brace, and 2 who must have died young. Ten Eyck Jr. had 4 kids and William Brace of course had the 3 more famous ones. Email me with specific questions and I will try to help. My grandma was Myrl Fonda (son of Fred) and she & Henry went to the same high school (Omaha Central High) tho they were 7th cousins.
