My Grandmother was born Winifred Fonda in 1901 in Iowa & she left me a photo copy of a book titled "Early American Families" by Rev. W.A. Williams of Philadelphia. The book contains a 9 page chapter on the Fonda family with a couple pages on the origin of the family and tracing Fonda to the late 1800's. I haven't tried connecting her family, but interesting reading like Rev. Jacob D. Fonda's grandaughter, Kornelia was a survivor of the Titanic. I'm not much on geneology, but if this book can be of help to someone, let me know.
